Hosted PBX

Hosted PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a software based PBX that is hosted on our main server. It is a robust and cost effective
solution for your office and it offers you reliability, flexibility and advanced features at an affordable price.

You do not need a PBX in your office anymore. You only need telephones that are connected via your
ADSL line to our server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How reliable is the Hosted PBX?
A: Extremely reliable. Every component of our system has built in redundancy allowing a component
to fail without causing the system to shut down. With our hosted PBX you have three components:
telephone units, ADSL line and PBX. Each one of these components is fully backed-up.

-Telephone units located at your office. At least 1 or 2 extra units should be available in the office
in case one telephone is down.

- ADSL connections: the quality of Internet connections has improved a lot during
the last years and continues to improve constantly. However disruption of service is possible.
If your ADSL line is down, your office will still be reachable. All incoming calls will be routed
automatically to predefined mobile phones.

-The PBX itself: Your PBX is hosted in our switch with other PBX's. Our main switch is located
in Amsterdam on a special perimeter together with hundreds of switches and servers.
The place is guarded day and night and has special utilities for air condition and electricity.
In the 5 years that we have been located there, we did not have any disruption of operation.
All the important components of our main switch are fully backed up. If , in a worst case scenario,
our switch goes down then we have a second switch that automatically
replaces the main switch within seconds.

Having back-ups and redundancies for all three elements of the hosted PBX ensure that your office is always reachable.

Q: Can I keep my current telephone numbers?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I need my current telephone lines?
A: No, all your telephone and fax traffic will go through your ADSL line.

Q: Do I need extra lines/network for the virtual PBX?
A: No, your new telephone units will be connected to your current LAN network.
The new telephones use the same connection as your PC, so no extra wiring needed.

Q: can I keep my current telephone units?
A: We recommend using IP telephones. There are many types in all price ranges and we can
advise what unit is best for your needs. However, you can use traditional telephones and connect
them to your net with adaptors.
